Thank You, Herdi!

"Riga Football Club" officially announces that after the 2020 season we will not extend the contract with central defender Herdi Prenga! Thank you for two great years together and good luck in future! 

26-year-old Herdi Prenga spent two seasons in "Riga". In all tournaments, Herdi played a total of 51 games, scored five goals, made one assist and got nine yellow cards. The central defender became the Latvian champion in 2019 and 2020.

Herdi Prenga: "After these two years, I will have only good memories about Riga. I met new people, got a chance to work and play, made good friends. I want to say a big thank you for everything we achieved together. We became champions in two years. It's something which we will always remember. The club is great, the conditions are great and I believe that they will only get better in the future. As for the city, I can say that I enjoyed life in Riga. I will definitely come back to Riga someday.

There are many memorable moments, but I will highlight the victories at Skonto Stadium against Poland's Piast and Denmark's Copenhagen. They were both great games. We trained a lot and never gave up. These are the reasons why we achieved good results. Our strength was in the locker room, in our own relationships. We always fought for each other, and this, together with the quality of the footballers, paid off. We were like a family.

Once again, I would like to thank the club and the footballers with whom we spent these two years. I wish you all the best. Success both in the Latvian championship and in Europe. Thanks!”
