With 10 men draw against RFS

Tonight, in the 2nd round of the Latvian Highest league, we played almost the entire match with 10 men and drew 1:1 against RFS. Douglas Aurelio scored the only goal for us! Tomorrow we will start the training camp in Cyprus.

In the first game of the season, we beat "Jelgava" with the scoreline of 2:1. RFS played 0:0 with "Valmiera". More than 700 spectators attended the game today.

At the beginning of the game, we dominated, but in the 12th minute, after the help of VAR, the referee Andris Treimanis sent-off Ousseynou Niang. At the end of the first half, Emerson scored a goal from close range (0:1). In general, it was pretty close first half, but the opponents were in the lead after 45 minutes with the result 1:0.

In the second half, Miloš Jojić made a good shot, but goalkeeper Pavel Šteinbors saved the opponents. The opponents, playing 11 against 10, had some opportunities, but Nils Puriņš was excellent in our goal. We put a lot of pressure on the opponent's goal in the last 30 minutes of the game. In the 85th minute, the opponent's midfielder played handball in his penalty area, and Douglas Aurelio scored a penalty kick - 1:1. At the end of the game we were trying to win and Mor Talla hit the crossbar in the last minutes. Draw 1:1.

Tomorrow we will start the training camp in Cyprus, but on April 1st we will play an away match in the Latvian championship against "Liepaja".
