Seven of our players will go to the Elite round of the European U19 Championship qualification

Seven players of "Riga Football Club" - Deniss Silajevs-Kožurovs, Maksims Semeško, Gļebs Kačanovs, Kristaps Kārlis Krieviņš, Armans Muradjans, Dans Sirbu and Gļebs Patika - are included in the Latvian U19 national team and will go to the Elite round of European Championship qualification in Poland.

The team will start training on Friday and will train in Riga until March 20, when they will travel to Poland. The national team will open the tournament on March 22 with a match against Serbia, on March 25 it will be followed by a match against Poland, and on March 28 the opponents will be Israel, the finalist of the previous final tournament.

Eight teams will participate in the final tournament, which will be held in Malta in July. The ticket to the final tournament will earn the winners of the seven groups in the Elite round.

Last September, our U-19 national team successfully passed the first round of qualification when they kept clean sheets in duels with Romania and Austria and won Lithuania 1:0. The Latvian national team of this age reached the elite round for the third time in history.
