Draw against "Dynamo Kyiv"

Today, in the training camp in Turkey, we drew 1:1 with "Dynamo" from Kyiv. Milos Jojic scored the goal. In the first game of the day, we lost 1:2 to the Armenian club "Shirak". Eduards Dašķevičs scored a goal in this match. On February 23, we will play against Ukrainian "Kolos" twice.

Until today, we had played seven test matches in the training camp in Turkey. Our statistics were five wins, one draw and one loss.

We conceded two goals in the first half of the game against "Shirak". In the 3rd minute, "Shirak" scored a goal after our mistake, but in the 20th minute, they created a quick combination and scored from close range. We had few chances in the first half. The team showed character in the second half. We were the best team on the pitch. In the 51st minute, Eduards Dašķėvičs scored after a cross from the right side. We dominated the whole second half, the opponents tried to kill the time, we missed several good opportunities and ended up losing 1:2.

Against "Dynamo" Kyiv, the first moment was at the very beginning of the game. Douglas Aurelio was in the penalty area, made a strong shot, but ball went little bit wide. In the middle of the half, Miloš Jojič missed an opportunity from a good position. Ramires had the best chance in the first half. Ramires missed from around 10 meters after a brilliant team combination. After the first half, it was tied 0:0.

We scored a goal at the beginning of the second half. Aurelio passed to the right wing to Raivis Jurkovskis from the middle of the field, the defender crossed the ball in the penalty area and Jojič scored a great header. Aurelio and Kemelho Nguna also had good chances during the half, but the shots went wide. Goalkeeper Nils Puriņš played excellently, saving the team several times, but "Dynamo" scored a goal in the 79th minute (1:1). At the end of the game, we tried to score the second goal and win, but the final result was a 1:1 draw.

On February 23, we will play against the Ukrainian club "Kolos" twice. The games will start at 10:00 and 16:00 Latvian time.
