First loss in Turkey

Today at the training camp in Turkey, we experienced our first loss in seven games. We lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina club "Sarajevo" with the result 0:2. On February 20, we will play against Kyiv "Dinamo" and Armenian club "Shirak".

Five wins and one draw. These were our statistics in the training camp in Turkey until today. We had already played against "Sarajevo" and won the first meeting with 2:1.

The head coach of the team, Tomislav Stipić, gave a rest to several leaders of our team from the previous games. In the first half, "Sarajevo" controlled the ball more, but we played disciplined in defense. We didn't allow the opponents to create much, but we also didn't create good attacks ourselves. 0:0 after the first half.

In the second half, like in other games, we changed the entire lineup, only Nils Puriņš remained in goal. In the 71st minute, "Sarajevo" scored the first goal in this game. After a corner, Brazilian forward Renan Oliveira made a great header. In the final part of the game, after a cross from the right side, Maleye Diagne had a good chance, but the opponents were saved by the goalkeeper. In the 87th minute, with the help of luck, "Sarajevo" scored the second goal and won 2:0.
