
"Riga" signs Latvian national team goalkeeper Matrevics
We are happy to announce that we have signed a contract with the 23-year-old Latvian national team goalkeeper Rihards Matrevics! Welcome King Kong!
Rihards Matrevics was born on March 18, 1999. The 201-centimeter-tall goalkeeper is a "Babīte" grown up player.
In 2015, at the age of 15, Rihards signed a contract with the well-known academy of the English Premier League club "West Ham". In this club, Matrevics played in the U18 and U23 teams. After that, Matrevic played for three years in the English clubs "Barnet" and "Hendon".
The last two seasons, Matrevics played in "Valmiera". This year, Rihards became the Latvian champion. During two seasons in the Latvian Highest league, Rihards played 62 games and kept 22 clean sheets.
