2:0 in Jelgava!

Today in the 22nd round game of Latvian Highest league, "Riga" won "Jelgava" with the scoreline of 2:0. Goals were scored by Stefan Milosevic and Jakub Hora. On Wednesday 1/4 final game of the Latvian Cup against RFS.

We had played against "Jelgava" twice this season and won in both games with the result 3:0. "Riga" went to Jelgava this morning. The match started great - already in the 2nd minute after Felipe Brisola shot Stefan Milosevic got ball in front of the goal and the attacker immediately hit the ball under the crossbar, putting the "Riga' in the lead - 1:0. 

As is often happens, the team after a quick goal calmed down a bit. "Riga" played more with the ball, but lacked sharpness in the attacking part. "Jelgava" did not create any dangerous moment in the first half. "Riga" also did not have a really good opportunity in the remaining time, so after 45 minutes the guests were in the lead with a minimum of 1:0.

At the beginning of the second half, "Jelgava" played a little more actively, at times also gained control of the ball, but in the final part the actions were unsuccessful. "Riga" scored a second goal in the 70th minute. Frederico Bravo with a great pass found Jakub Hora on the right side, midfielder got past Vladislavs Kurakins and from the sharp angle shot the ball in to the net. There were a couple of other good opportunities in the final part of the match.  In the end, "Riga" won with 2: 0.

The next game on Wednesday will be in the 1/4 final of the Latvian Cup against RFS. The match starts at 20:00.
