Three goals and victory in Jurmala

Today in the 31st round game of the Latvian Highest league, in an away match we defeated "Spartaks" with the scoreline of 3:1! We scored all three goals in the first half! Marcelo Torres, Hrvoje Babec and Douglas Aurelio scored goals for our team.

We had won all three games against "Spartaks" this season before this match - 3:0, 4:0, 2:1.

Today we scored the first goal in the 11th minute. After Mikael Soisalo's pass from the right side, Marcelo Torres shot the ball into the goal from close distance - 1:0. 12 minutes later, Hrvoje Babec also scored from the edge of the penalty area - 2:0. We continued to attack and in the 38th minute Douglas Aurelio took his chance (3:0). We had several more good scoring chances in the first half. There were no more goals in the first half and we were 3:0 up after 45 minutes.

At the beginning of the second half we had at least two very good chances, but we couldn't convert them. In the 53rd minute, Olegs Laizāns, who played more than 100 games for our team, scored a beautiful goal (3:1). In the rest time of the game, "Spartaks" had a few more chances, but overall we controlled the game. We could score the fourth goal as well, but this time the second part of the game was not the best. The final result is still a victory - 3:1.
