Victory in Salaspils

Today in the 30th round game of the Latvian Highest league, we defeated "Super Nova" with the scoreline of 4:1. Marcelo Torres, Hrvoje Babec, Mikael Soisalo and Joselpho Barnes scored for our team.

This year we had won all the games against "Super Nova" - 2:0, 4:1 and 1:0.

The start of the game was unsuccessful. In the 12th minute, after a corner kick, the home team opened the score of the game (0:1). We controlled the ball a lot, but we couldn't take our goalscoring opportunities for long period of time. In the 43rd minute, Marcelo Torres scored from close range (1:1). A couple of minutes later, Hrvoje Babec scored a fantastic goal, and we were already leading 2:1 after the first half.

"Riga" completely controlled the game in the second half as well. Mikael Soisalo scored in the 53rd minute - 3:1. We had a lot of scoring opportunities and the opponents waited for their chances on the counter-attacks. The home team had one good moment when the ball hit the post. At the end of the game, Joselpho Barnes played perfectly in the opponent's penalty area - at the end of the attack, the striker shot the ball into the far corner of the goal. The final result was a 4:1 victory.

The next game will be against "Spartaks" on October 8.
