The U19 national team with six of our players reaches the Elite round

The Latvian U19 national team, with six players from the "Riga Football Club" academy, entered the Elite round of the European Championship qualification. Congratulations to the players and we wish them great success in the future!

The Latvian national team played in the 6th group against Romania, Austria and Lithuania. In the first two games against Romania and Austria, a goalless draw was recorded 0:0. In the decisive game, Latvia defeated Lithuania 1:0, took second place in the group and earned a ticket to the Elite round of the European Championship qualification.

The Latvian U19 national team was represented in these games by six footballers from the "Riga Football Club" academy: Deniss Silajevs Kožurovs, Gļebs Kačanovs, Armans Muradjans, Glebs Patika, Dans Sirbu and Kristaps Kārlis Krieviņš.

In the elite round, 28 national teams will fight for seven tickets to the final tournament, which will take place in Malta next year.

The Latvian U21 national team played a friendly match against the Polish national team on Tuesday. Each of the teams scored one goal and the game ended in a draw 1:1. The team was represented by two "Riga" footballers who currently play on loan for other teams - Jegors Novikovs ("Auda") and Artūrs Ostapenko ("Spartaks").
