Team is back in Riga

After a nine-day training camp, during which we played two friendly matches against the clubs of Cyprus Highest league, we have returned to Riga and continue our preparations for the final part of the season.

The team went to Cyprus on September 16 in two groups. On Sunday, the team had a day off, after which we started a nine-day training camp. 25 footballers of our team participated in the training camp in Cyprus. We attracted four young footballers from the academy.

On September 24, we played against the leading team of the Cypriot league "Paphos". The game was close, there were a lot of emotions on the field, neither team wanted to lose and the final result was a goalless draw 0:0.

On September 25, we played against "Akritas", the debutants of the Cypriot top league, who played the match against us in the strongest lineup. The head coach of our team gave more opportunities to those who have played less so far. "Akritas" scored four goals, the only goal for "Riga" was scored by Navarone Foor, and the game ended with a 4:1 victory for the home team.

The team returned to Riga late on Monday evening. Today the team had a day off, but tomorrow we will continue our preparations for the final part of the season. The next game will be against "Super Nova" on September 30 in the Latvian championship.
