3:0 in Slovakia

On Thursday, in the first match of the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, we defeated Slovakia's vice-champion "Ružomberok" with the scoreline of 3:0. Goals were scored by Marcelo Torres, Mikael Soisalo and Douglas Aurelio.

In the 1st round of the conference league qualification, "Ružomberok" defeated one of the strongest teams in Lithuania, "Žalgiris Kaunas" (2:0, 0:0), but we beat the Irish championship team "Derry City" in both games (2:0, 2:0).

Both teams had good chances to score in the first half of the game. Slovaks attacked a lot in the middle of the half, but we were patient and did not concede a goal. In the 43rd minute, Gabriel Ramos played perfectly in the middle of the pitch. The midfielder passed several opponents, passed to Marcelo Torres, and the striker masterfully scored - 1:0. A minute later, after Hrvoje Babec's pass, Mikael Soisalo made a masterful individual play - in the end, a strong shot into the far corner of the goal. 2:0 after the first half.

At the beginning of the second half we continued to attack and scored the third goal. Gabriel Ramos made the second assist in this game, but Douglas Aurelio scored this time - 3:0. A little later, Lucas Rangel had a good chance. The Brazilian striker shot from the penalty area, but the Slovakian team was saved by the crossbar. In the remaining part of the game, both teams had a couple of chances, but no more goals were scored. Victory with the result 3:0.

The next game is against "Spartaks" in the Latvian championship on Sunday, and the second leg game against the Slovaks will be played next Thursday.
