"Riga" signs Brazilian forward Rangel

We are pleased to announce that we have signed 27-year-old Brazilian forward Lucas Rangel! Lukas has previously played in Brazil, Albania, Austria, Finland, Turkey, Ukraine and Azerbaijan! Welcome to Riga!

Lucas Rangel was born on December 29, 1994 in Alvorada, Brazil. Rangel plays as a center forward. At the beginning of his career, Rangel played for the Brazilian clubs "Gremio Barueri", "Foz do Iguacu" and "Itumbiara".

In the season 2016/2017, Rangel played in the Albanian championship club "Kukesi". In this team, Rangel played a total of 28 games and scored three goals. In the following season, Lukas played in the Austrian second division club "Kapfenberger". In 31 games, Rangel scored nine goals and made three assists.

From 2018 to 2020, Rangel played in the Finnish Highest league club "KuPS". In this team, Rangel played a total of 83 games, scored 30 goals and made eight assists. Last year, Rangel scored five goals in eight Conference League qualification games.

Rangel then played seven games and scored one goal for Turkish First League side "Adana Demirspor" before returning to Finland with 12 games and two goals. In the summer of 2021 Lucas signed contract with Ukrainian club Vorskla. In the Ukrainian Highest league, Rangel scored four goals and made one assist in 12 games.

Rangel's last stop was the Azerbaijani club "Sabakh". In the championship of this country, Rangel scored two goals and made two assists in eight games.
