"Riga" signs Swedish centre-back Bergqvist

Riga Football Club officially announces the signing of a 29-year-old Swedish centre-back Douglas Bergqvist! In his career, Douglas has represented clubs in England, Norway, Poland and Sweden! Welcome to Riga!

Douglas Bergqvist was born on March 29, 1993 in Stockholm, Sweden. Bergquist plays in the centre-back position. The Swedish defender is English club "Reading" grown player. 

Early in his career, Douglas played for various clubs in England. In 2014, Douglas signed a contract with the Swedish club "Ostersunds". In the first two seasons, "Ostersunds" played in Sweden's second strongest championship and earned a ticket to the highest league in the second season.

For the next three seasons, Bergqvist played in Sweden's highest league with "Ostersunds". Douglas played 56 games and scored one goal. In season 2016/2017, Bergqvist won the Swedish Cup. In 2019, Bergqvist played 21 games in the Norwegian Highest league. "Haugesund" also played in the Norwegian Cup final. Bergqvist then played six games for the Polish Highest league club "Arka".

For the last two and a half seasons, Douglas played for Sweden's Highest league club "Kalmar". Bergqvist played 49 games and scored one goal. Welcome to Riga!
