Second victory of the season - 2:0 against "Super Nova"

Today at the "Mežaparks Sports Village" in the 3rd round game of the Latvian Highest league we beat debutants "Super Nova" - 2:0! Goals were scored by Gabriel Ramos and Yurii Kendysh. The next game is already on Tuesday.

"Super Nova" played in the Latvian First league last season. "Super Nova" took the third place, which was enough to get a ticket to the highest league in Latvia.

In the first minutes of the game, we were actively attacking and looking for opportunities to score the first goal. Opponents waited for they chances to counter-attack whenever possible. The first goal was scored in the 18th minute. Gabriel Ramos scored from close distance after Yurii Vakulko's pass. The guests also had one good opportunity in the first half, but we were saved by goalkeeper Roberts Ozols. We scored the second goal at the end of the half. Yurii Kendysh made a great shot from the penalty area - 2:0.

In the second half we created several good goal scoring opportunities, but failed to score the third goal. Opponents should also be praised for the second half. The "Super Nova" team had several good counter-attacks and did not allow us to calm down. There was no more goals in the second half, and "Riga" won 2:0.

The next game is already on Tuesday, April 5, at "Mežaparks Sports Village" at 17:00 against "Spartaku".
