Win and a draw for Latvian national team in friendly matches

The Latvian national team has played two friendly matches in Malta - a draw 1:1 against Kuwait and a victory 1:0 against Azerbaijan! Latvia was represented in these games by three Riga Football Club players - Roberts Ozols, Antonijs Černomordijs and Vladimirs Kamešs.

The Latvian national team played its first friendly match against Kuwait on March 25. The game ended with a draw 1:1. Roberts Ozols and Antonijs Černomordijs played full game. Vladimirs Kamešs entered the game in the 77th minute. Antonijs was captain of the team.

The second friendly game took place yesterday. In the first half of the game against Azerbaijan, the opponent's player Qara Qarayev recieved the red card. Latvia's only goal was scored in the 85th minute when Vladislavs Gutkovskis scored after Černomordijs assist. Antonijs was also the captain of the team in this game and played all 90 minutes. Kamešs entered the game in the 72th minute.

Yesterday, Latvian U21 national team played European champiopnship qualifiers game. In the game against San Marino, the Latvians were unable to score and played 0:0. "Riga" player Raivis Ķiršs was in the teams starting lineup and played 61 minute.
