0:1 in Liepaja

The first loss this season! Today in an away match "Riga Football Club" lost to "Liepāja" with the scoreline of 0:1. The next game on April 1 in Riga against "Super Nova".

We played against "Liepāja" four times in the 2021 season - each of the teams earned two victories. We won in the first two games (2:0, 4:1), but "Liepāja" was better in the third (1:0) and fourth (1:0) games.

At the beginning of the game, we controlled the ball and tried to find some chances in the attack. In the middle of the half there was very unlucky episode. Nemanja Belakovič crossed the ball into the box, none of the players touched the ball and it went into the net - 0:1. Yurii Vakulko had a good chance in our team in the first half, but after the Ukrainian shot, the goalkeeper saved the opponents. After the first half, "Liepāja" led by 1:0.

At the beginning of the second half, the striker Oleksandr Filippov had to score. Ukrainian got into a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper, but also in this episode opponents were saved by the goalkeeper. There was little chance of scoring for the rest of the game. "Liepāja" created a couple of good counterattacks, but did not score the second goal. At the end of the game, "Liepāja" played good in the defense. The first loss this season - 0:1.
