Draw against "Shakhtar Donetsk"

Tonight in Turkey we played a draw 0:0 against one of the Ukrainian football giants "Shakhtar Donetsk". The game was played in 2x30 minute format. On February 22, we will play against the Kazakhstan Highest league club "Kairat".

"Shakhtar" is a regular participant in the UEFA Champions League group tournament. "Shakhtar" ranks 16th among European clubs. This season in the Champions League, "Shakhtar" played against "Real Madrid", "Inter Milan" and "Sheriff Tiraspol". There is currently a break in the Ukrainian Premier League. In the first part of the season, "Shakhtar" has 15 victories in 18 games and takes first place with 47 points.

Karim Loukili had the best chance in the first half of the match. The Moroccan player after Vladlen Yurchenko's pass got to the 1vs1 situation against the goalkeeper, but for a long time he was looking for an opportunity to make a shot and in the end opponents was saved by the goalkeeper. We played in the defense in a disciplined manner, blocking opponents' shots and "Shakhtar" did not have a very good opportunities. We made quite a few good combinations in 30 minutes, but we didn't score.

Coach after the first half completely changed all lineup. But the game didn't change much. We played more with the ball, we had better chances. This time the best opportunity was for Vladimir Kamešs. Midfielder recieved the ball some 30 meters from the goal, in good speed ran into the penalty box, made a shot, and the ball went wide the bottom corner. At the end of the game there was a close game, we tried to win, but the goals were not scored in this game. Draw 0:0.

The next game on February 22 against Kazakhstan's Premier League club Kairat. Thekick-off at 17:00 Turkish time (16:00 Latvia).
