Loss against "Ural" in the last game in Dubai

In the last friendly match in Dubai tonight we lost 1:2 to the Russian Premier League club "Ural". The only goal for our team was scored by Joselpho Barnes. Tomorrow we will fly to Turkey.

We had seven games in Dubai till today. The team had four victories, twice played a draw and suffered one loss.

We demonstrated quality performance in the first half of the match. We controlled the ball more, we created fast, interesting combinations. The only problem was scoring. We tried to play with short passes, made a lot of crosses into the penalty area, but could not score. 0:0 after 45 minutes.

Head coach Thorsten Fink changed all players in the second half. In the 61st minute Cristoph Martschinko had great episode on the left side. Cristoph in physical duel beat an opponent, then made a pass and Joselpho Barnes scored from few meters. Two minutes later, "Ural" got back. Ramazan Gadzimuradov scored from the middle of the penalty area (1:1). In the final part of the match both teams tried to win. Unfortunately, after our own mistake  Alexei Evseev scored at the last minute. Loss with 1:2.

From February 17 to 28, we will continue preparing for the season in Turkey. The next game on February 19 against Ukraine's Premier League club "Shakhtar Donetsk". The kick-off at 16:00 Latvian time.
