For the third time in history we will play against the Slovak "Žilina"

Tomorrow in Dubai, "Riga Football Club" will meet with another Slovak club - this time "MŠK Žilina". We will play against this team for the third time. The kick-off at 16:00 UAE time (14:00 Latvia). Live on our Youtube channel, Sportacentrs.com and TV4 channel.

MŠK Žilina is a Slovak club founded in 1908. Since 1993, "Žilina" has not played only once in the Slovak Highest league. In the strongest championship in Slovakia, this team has won seven times, twice in the Slovak Cup and three times in the Super Cup.

We have already played with "Žilina" twice. The first game in Dubai took place in 2018. The Slovak club won 2: 1. Aleksejs Davidenkovs scored the only goal for our team. We played against Žilina for the second time in 2020. It was an interesting game, but the Slovaks won again - 3:2. Kule Mbombo and Elvis Stuglis scored for "Riga".

There is currently a break in the Slovak championship. In the first half of the season, "Žilina" has earned 27 points in 19 games and is in fifth place. The leader with 46 points is "Slovan Bratislava".

We have played two friendly games during this training camp in Dubai. In the first game we lost 0:2 to the Polish Ekstraklasa champion "Legia", but in the second game we won "Slovan Bratislava" with the scoreline of 2:1. Goals were scored by Karim Loukili and Arturs Krancmanis.
