
In an emotional game draw against RFS
Tonight, in the 27th round of the Latvian Highest league, "Riga Football Club" in an emotional match played 0:0 against RFS . In the last ten minutes we played with nine men. On November 6, in the last match of the season, we will play against "Valmiera".
We had played against RFS four times this season. In the Latvian championship we lost twice (0:3, 1:3) and once we played a draw (1:1), but in the Latvian Cup semi-final we lost in extra time (1:3).
"Riga" had a good first half of the game. We played safely in defense and also created a couple of good opportunities in the attack. The best moment was for Wesley Nata - the Brazilian midfielder made a good header after the cross from the right side, but the goalkeeper Vytautas Čerņauskas saved the RFS. After the first half of the game, a draw of 0:0.
In the second half, the opponents played more with the ball. RFS created more moments, but Nils Puriņš, who played another stable and safe game, demonstrated a great performance. Unfortunately, in the second part of the second half, the decisive decisions was made by the referee Aleksandrs Anufrijevs. Within ten minutes, the referee sent-off two our players - Armands Petersons and Wesley Nata. At the end of the match we played without two players, but the team had a strong team character, and in the end the draw - 0:0.
On November 6, "Riga" will play the last game of the season. In Skonto stadium we will play against "Valmiera". The kick-off at 13:30.
