Third draw in a row

Tonight at Skonto Stadium in the 25th round of the Latvian Highest league "Riga Football Club" played a draw 1:1 against "Metta". The only goal for our team was scored by Yurii Vakulko. On Saturday we will play in Daugavpils.

We had played against "Metta" three times this season and earned seven of the maximum nine points. In the first game in April, a tie was recorded 1:1, but in the next two games we won - 3:0 and 1:0.

"Riga" scored the first goal in this game in the 11th minute, when Yurii Vakulko scored (1:1) after great pass from Armands Pētersons. Overall, neither team had a big advantage in the first half of the game. A few more shots on goal were made by both teams, but no goals were scored. "Riga" was in the lead with 1:0 after the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, Axel Andresson received the second yellow card, and "Riga" played most of the second half with ten men. "Metta" deservedly scored in the 53rd minute - great shot by Gļebs Kļuškins (1:1). "Metta" still had a number of very good opportunities after that, and only Roberts Ozols' great performance saved us. Jean Leo had one great opportunity to get victory for us, but he could not take great chance after Mikael Soisalo pass. In the end, the third draw in a row - 1:1.
