One victory for our players in the World Cup qualification

Four "Riga Football Club" players have played for their national teams in the World Cup qualifiers. 

The Latvian national team played two pretty good games, but was unable to get points. Losses against the strong Netherlands (0:1) and Turkey (1:2). The Turks scored the second goal during the additional time from the 11-meter penalty spot. Roberts Ozols and Antonijs Černomordijs played all 90 minutes in both games. Vladislavs Fjodorovs and Aleksejs Saveljevs remained in the team reserve.

The Kosovo team also suffered two losses in two games. 0:3 against Sweden and 1:2 against Georgia. "Riga" midfielder Besar Halimi did not play against Sweden, but was against in the starting lineup against Georgia and played 74 minutes.

In the African zone, Congo DR played two games against Madagascar. Congo DR won 2:0 in the first match, but lost in the away game with 0:1. "Riga" defender Glody Ngonda played the whole second half in the first game, but in the second match Ngonda played all 90 minutes.
