"Riga" players will play in the World Cup qualifiers

Seven "Riga Football Club" players will take part in the World Cup qualifiers in October.

Five players have been included in the Latvian national team includes - goalkeeper Roberts Ozols, defenders Antonijs Černomordijs and Vladislavs Fjodorovs, midfielders Vladimirs Kamešs and Aleksejs Saveļjevs.

In October, the Latvian national team will have two difficult games in Riga, Daugava Stadium, against the Netherlands (08.10.) and Turkey (11.10.). In the first six games, Latvia earned five points and is in fifth place. Gibraltar is without points, but the Netherlands is in first place with 13 points. Turkey has 11 points and third place in the group.

Besar Halimi, the midfielder of "Riga", is included in the Kosovo national team. in October Kosovo will play an away match against Sweden (09.10) and against Georgia at home (12.10). Kosovo has four points in Group B in five games and is in fourth place. Spain is in first place with 13 points in six games.

In the African zone, "Riga" defender Glody Ngonda is included in Congo DR national team. The Congo DR will play against Madagascar on 7 and 10 October. In the group with Tanzania, Benin and Madagascar, the DR Congo has two points in two games and is in third place.

"Riga" midfielder Raivis Ķiršs and goalkeeper Frank Dāvids Orols, who on loan players for "Daugavpils" this season, today will play for Latvian U21 national team in the European qualifiers against San Marino at Skonto stadium. The match starts at 14:00. On October 12, the U21 national team will play away match against Israel.
