Draw in Jurmala - 1:1

Today in the 24th round match of the Latvian Highest league, "Riga Football Club" played a draw 1:1 against "Spartaks" from Jurmala. The only goal for our team was scored by Antonijs Černomordijs. The next game in the championship will be played on October 17.

We had played against "Spartaks" three times this season and we won in all three games - 6:1, 2:1, 3:2. In the last ten games against this team we had won eight times, once the game ended with a draw and once won the "Spartaks".

At the beginning of the game, both teams played quite slowly and there were no dangerous moments. In the 21st minute, After the cross from the left wing, Leonel Wamba made a great header and opened the score for "Spartaks" (0:1). After "Spartaks" goal, nothing significantly changed in the game, and "Spartaks" deservedly led with 1:0 after the first half.

In the second half, "Riga" made several player changes and played much more actively. "Riga" had many chances, but we scored the first goal only in the 76th minute of the game, after Antonijs Černomordijs made a header in the top corner (1:1). After this, "Riga" made a great pressure, made many passes in the penalty area, but failed to score. Draw 1:1.
