
Halimi and Ngonda played two games in the World Cup qualifiers
Riga Football Club players Besar Halimi and Glody Ngonda have played in the World Cup qualifiers for Kosovo and the DR Congo.
In the September games, Kosovo defeated Georgia 1:0, the draw against Greece 1:1, but yesterday in the third game, Kosovo lost 0:2 to Spain.
Halimi was in the starting line-up of his team against Georgia and Greece. Besar received a yellow card against Greece. In total, Halimi spent 158 minutes in these two games. The midfielder did not take part in the match against Spain due to disqualification.
In the World Cup African qualifiers, DR Congo played two games and got two points. 1:1 against both Tanzania and Benin.
Ngonda was in the starting lineup of his team in both games. Ngonda played all 90 minutes of the game against Tanzania, but was replaced in the second half in the second game.
