Three goals against Jelgava and a place in the Latvian Cup semi-final

Tonight at the Skonto Stadium in the quarterfinals of the Latvian Cup, "Riga" won the "Albatroz / Jelgava" team 3:0. The goals was scored by Nedeljko Piščević, Ritvars Rugins and Stanislav Krapukhin.

"Albatroz / Jelgava" this season is one of the strongest team in the First League. In the Latvian Cup, the Jelgava team had already won the "Karosta" (5: 1), "Latgols / Ludza" (1: 0) and "Rēzekne" (3:0) teams. "Riga" won "Tukums" in the eighth final with 3:1.

Tonight "Riga" scored the first goal in the 11th minute - a great shot from 25 meters from Nedeljko Piščević (1:0). "Jelgava" sometimes showed a very good football in the first half, so there was no opportunity to calm down. In the 34th minute, Ritvars Rugins scored the first goal in the "Riga" shirt - 2:0. Five minutes later, Stanislav Krapukhin demonstrated good quality of the striker - the Russian made a strong shot in the far corner (3:0).

In the second half, both teams made many substitutions. Both teams also had a chance to score, but that didn’t happen. It should be noted that the head coach of "Riga" tonight gave an opportunity to rest for several team leaders. The second half also ended in an interesting and rather fast game, and "Riga" won with 3:0 at the end and reached the semi-finals of the Latvian Cup.
