Riga against Lincoln Red Imps! Battle for a place in a group stage!

Tomorrow at Skonto Stadium, the Latvian champion "Riga Football Club" will play in the UEFA Conference League qualification "play-off" round against the most titled Gibraltar team "Lincoln Red Imps". In the first round of the Champions League, "Riga" lost (0:1, 1:1) to Sweden's strongest team "Malmo" in two interesting games. In the continuation of the Eurocup season, we have won two rounds in the Conference League. 2: 0 and 1:0 against Northern Macedonian champions "Shkendija" , but against the Maltese "Hibernians" it was harder - in the first game loss 0:1, but in Malta victory with 2: 1 and then two more goals were scored in extra time. 

The "Lincoln Red Imps" won the Luxembourg team "Fola" in the first round of the Champions League (2:2, 5:0). In the second round, the "Red Imps" lost Romania's "Cluj" 1:2 and 0:2. This meant that the "Red Imps" continued to play in the Europa League. In the third round, the Gibraltar team lost 1:3, 1:1 to the Slovak champion "Slovan".

"Lincoln Red Imps" is a club founded in 1976. The "Red Imps" are Gibraltar's most titled team. In Gibraltar's highest league, the "Red Imps" have won 25 times, triumphed 18 times in the Gibraltar Cup and 11 more in the Super Cup.

The first of two games in the battle for a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage will take place in Riga. In a week, the two teams will meet again at Gibraltar National Stadium.
