Ozols saves several times, "Riga" wins "Metta"

Tonight at Skonto Stadium in the 18th round game of the Latvian Highest league "Riga Football Club" with the result 1:0 won "Metta". The only goal was scored by Besar Halimi. Roberts Ozols also played a great game. The next game on July 29 against the champion of Northern Macedonia "Shkendija".

Against "Metta" this year we got four of the maximum six points - 1:1 and 3: 0. In both of these games, Mettas' head coach was our current coach Andris Riherts.

There were big changes in the lineup of our team in this game. Of those who were in the starting lineup against "Shkendija", only the centre-back Antonijs Černomordijs was on the field. There was not much goal scoring chances in the first half of the game. "Metta" had better moments, but "Riga" goalkeeper Roberts Ozols demonstrated a great performance. In principle, we did not make any dangerous shots. After 45 minutes, there was a 0:0 draw on the scoreboard.

In the 53rd minute, Besar Halimi scored the first goal for "Riga". The midfielder of the Kosovo hit the ball into the net from a close distance after Anton Kurakin's cross - 1:0. The rest of the time, "Metta" created several opportunities, but we played more dangerously in counter-attacks. Ozols saved us several times from conceding a goal. At the end of the game we paid a lot of attention to the defense and in the end we won with 1:0.
