0:1 in Malmö, the second leg game already on Tuesday
Tonight in the first round match of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers in Malmö Stadium, with the biggest part of the game being played with ten men, the Latvian champion "Riga Football Club" lost 0:1 to the Swedish "Malmo FF". Second leg game on July 13 at Skonto Stadium!
The game was attended by about 4,000 fans at Malmö Stadium. There was a great atmosphere before the game and after that for the whole 90 minutes.
The Swedish club played more with the ball, but "Riga" played carefully and qualitatively in defense. In the first half we also had one good chance, when we made a good combination on the right side - in the end Felipe Brisola hit over the crossbar. Unfortunately, we had ten players left in the 41st minute. Yunusa Muritala got booked second time in the match and was sent off the pitch. Malmö put a lot of pressure on our goal at the end of the half, but together we managed to keep 0:0.
The beginning of the second half was unsuccessful. Antonio Čolak scored from the close distance Roberts Ozols, who played a great game overall, failed to capture the ball in this episode. In this situation, Malmö's dominance in the ball control was very big and we had to play very carefully. It was physically difficult, but still we were able to create some good counterattacks. Mikael Soisalo two times played well on the right side, in both episodes delivered the ball into the box, but nobody was there to make a shots. At the end of the match, we did not allow our opponents to create very good moments, and in the end we lost with the 0:1.
The second leg game will take place on July 13 at Skonto Stadium. The match starts at 19:00. Tickets for this game can be purchased at www.bilesuserviss.lv
