Loss in Riga derby again

On Thursday, in the 17th round game of the Latvian Highest league, "Riga Football Club" lost (1:3) against RFS for the fifth time in a row. The only goal for our team was scored by Mikael Soisalo. An important game against "Valmiera" on Monday.

In the first game against RFS this season we lost 0:3. Admittedly, the opponents were better prepared for this game and deservedly won. We had already lost four games in a row against RFS in total.

The start of the match was pretty quality from both sides. None of the teams had a big advantage. "Riga" was the first to score - in the 43rd minute a great free kick was made by Finnish midfielder Mikael Soisalo - 1:0. A few minutes later, Antonijs Černomordijs was unlucky close to our goal and Cedric Kouadio went one on one with Ozols and hit in the far corner. After the first half, a draw - 1:1.

The beginning of the second half was unsuccessful. In the 47th minute, RFS created a great combination, in the end of which no one defended Artūrs Zjuzins who took his chance - 1:2. For the rest of the game, "Riga" played more with the ball, and RFS even delayed the time at some moments. Unfortunately, it cannot be said that we have created a really good moments in the attack. At the end of the match, Emerson scored third goal and RFS won 3:1.
