Riherts debuts with a victory

Tonight at the Skonto Stadium in the 16th round game of the Latvian Highest league, "Riga Football Club" won the "Noah Jurmala" team with the result 1:0. The only goal was scored by Antonijs Černomordijs in the 90th minute. The next game on Thursday against RFS.

This was the first game led by head coach Andris Riherts. We had won the first game against "Noah" with the result 7:0. Admittedly, it was one of the easiest victories in the history of the club, and the opponents were not ready to show serious resistance in the complicated schedule.

We played a lot with the ball in the first half of the match, but there was practically no dangerous moment at the opponents' goal. There were several passes through the penalty area, but the some good shots in the end were missing. We didn't make any shot on target in the first half. "Noah" played good in the defense and were waiting for some counterattacks. 0:0 after 45 minutes.

After a break in the game, in principle, no major changes took place. "Riga" tried to make shots more often, but there was no result from it. "Noah" in the second half made some good counterattacks, but luckily without good shots in the end. At the end of the match, the center defender Antonijs Černomordijs went to play in the attack, and was one who made a great shot from penalty area. Victory with the result 1:0.
