Draw against "Metta" 1:1

On Saturday, in the fourth round game of the Latvian Highest league, "Riga Football Club" lost two points against the football club "Metta" - 1: 1. Thanks  to the opponents for the lesson. On April 17, we will play against "Daugavpils" in our field.

After almost two months of training camp in Dubai, "Riga" started the new season perfectly. The team got nine points in three games (3:0 against "Ventspils", 2:0 against "Liepāja" and 6:1 against "Spartaks"). "Metta" so far had suffered three losses - 1:4 against "Liepāja", 0:1 against "Spartak" and 2:3 against "Daugavpils".

In the first half, "Riga" controlled a ball a lot and formed attacks for a long time, but it did not create practically anything dangerous. "Metta" even got better opportunities - after a corner kick Normunds Uldriķis hit just a little over the goal, while at the end of the half, the shot from a sharp angle of Yegor Novikov was saved by Ivan Brkic.

In second half "Riga" made a big pressure on opponent's goal, but there was not a lot of good shot positions. In the 74th minute, for the first time, "Metta" debutant Sorokins had to save his team for the first time after Danila Yanov's shot. "Riga" controlled the ball almost all the time, but in the 82nd minute "Metta" miraculously took the lead. Yunusa Muritala played great in the opponents box and shot the ball in the far corner. The joy of "Metta" were short - already in the next minute after the corner kick the result was equalized - 1:1.

At the end of the game, "Riga" repeatedly made a big pressure, but the "Metta"  defenders played safely. "Riga" had few good chances, but team could not take them. 1:1 the final result.
