Three goals and victory in Ventspils

In the first game of the Latvian championship "Riga Football Club" with the result 3:0 won the away game against the "Ventspils". The goals were scored by Axel Andresson, Stefan Milosevic and Edgar Babayan. In the next game on March 19, "Riga" will have another away game against "Liepāja".

"Riga" played actively in offense from the first minutes of the game. In the 16th minute, the first goal was scored. After Marko Dzurisic's cross, the Icelandic defender Axel Andresson made a great shot - 1:0. "Riga" dominated aslso in the continuation of the game. Ventspils were relying on their ability to counter-attack. "Riga" goalkeeper Ivan Brkič had to save the team in one episode, when the Croatian played well after the opponent's shot from a long distance. The Latvian champions played more with the ball, but did not create really good opportunities in the rest of first half. After 45 minutes 1:0.

Also in the second half we demonstrated the superiority of our mastery. In the 58th minute, after Gabriel Ramos's cross, Stefan Milosevic played perfectly, and the ball went in the far corner - 2:0. "Ventspils" also had one chance in the second half, when Brkič hit the ball in front of him. Anyway Marks Kurtišs missed in this episode. "Riga" continued to attack and logically scored another goal. After a great team combination, Edgar Babayan shot the ball into the goal - 3:0. A convincing victory in the first game of the season.
