Two wins against "Rodina"

Today in Dubai, the Latvian champion "Riga Football Club" got two victories (1:0, 2:0) against the Russian club "Rodina". Raivis Ķiršs scored in the first game, but Gabriel Ramos and Stefan Milosevic scored in the second.

"Riga" has been in Dubai for more than 40 days and is actively training for the beginning of the 2021 season. Before this we had played seven test matches - two wins and five losses. We have played against the strongest clubs in Russia, Uzbekistan and Armenia.

We played two games against Russian third league club "Rodina" today. All footballers had the opportunity to prove themselves. In the first game we won with the result 1:0. The only goal was scored by the midfielder Raivis Ķiršs in the 15th minute of the game. "Riga" should score more goals, but we could not take our chances  In a couple of episodes, "Riga" goalkeeper Roberts Ozols also had to show his mastery.

In the second game, "Riga" dominated all 90 minutes and won with the result 2:0. Gabriel Ramos scored in the 13th minute, but Stefan Milosevic scored his second goal in this training camp in the 37th minute. Milosevic missed the penalty in the second half. Today goalkeeper Ivan Brkič made his debut in "Riga" shirt.

"Riga" will train in Dubai another week, but then the final part of the preparation process will be spent in Riga.
