0:1 against "Noah"

Today in Dubai "Riga Football Club" lost 0:1 to Armenian vice-champion "Noah". We will work hard to improve our performance... Next game on February 11 against another Armenian club "Ararat-Armenia".

"Riga" has got one victory in six games during this training camp. We won the Uzbek champion "Pakhtakor" with 2:0, but in other games we unfortunately suffered losses - 0:4 against "Zenit" from St. Petersburg, 0:1 against "Krasnodar", 0:1 against "Shakhtyor" from Soligorsk and 0:4 against "Spartak Moscow". 

Today the loss against the Armenian vice-champions "Noah". In the first half of the match, both teams played quite carefully, so there was only few goal scoring chances. The best opportunity was for the "Riga" team. "Riga" created good counterattack, Wesley Nata made great pass to Kule Mbombo. Forward made a shot, but hit the goal post. At the end of the first half, "Noah" got also a very good opportunity, but "Riga" was saved by goalkeeper Frenks Orols. After 45 minutes, there was a 0-0 draw on the scoreboard.

Nothing changed in the second half of the game. It should be mentioned that Roberts Ozols returned to the goal this half after missing the previous games. In the 61st minute, we had bad moment in defense, foul in the penalty box, and Vladimir Azarov opened the score - 0:1.  In the 70th minute, our coach made many substitutions. "Riga" put pressure on their opponents, but it can't be said that we created very good chances to score. The fifth loss in six games - 0:1.

The next game on February 11 against another Armenian team "Ararat-Armenia". The match starts at 14:00 Latvian time.
