First victory in Dubai - 2:0 against "Pakhtakor"

Tonight in Dubai, "Riga Football Club" got the first victory in 2021. The Latvian champion won Uzbekistan's strongest team "Pakhtakor" - 2:0. Goals were scored by Kule Mbombo and Artyom Filipov.  On February 7, we will play against Moscow's "Spartak".

Before this game, "Riga" had played three test matches. 0:3 against St. Petersburg's "Zenit", 0: 1 against "Krasnodar" and 0:1 against Soligorsk "Shakhtyor". At times there was a lack of luck, at times there was a lack of understanding, and as a result goals were not scored.

Finnish Mikael Soisalo could not play against "Pakhtakor". The team was in a good mood for the game and showed a strong desire to win. In the first half, "Riga" successfully pressed. After one such episode, Stefan Milosevic had a good chance, but "Pakhtokar" was saved by the goalkeeper after the forward's shot. Miloševic was close one more time in the first half, but opponents kick the ball of the goal line. We played disciplinedly in the defense, and "Pakhtakor" had no chance. After 45 minutes, a draw of 0:0.

In the second half of the match, the coaches changed the squad. From the beginning, "Pakhtakor" played more with the ball, but gradually "Riga" gained a small initiative. In the 69th minute, Kule Mbombo scored from the penalty spot - 1:0. Seven minutes later, after Mbombo's pass, Artyom Filipov hit the ball with head into the goal - 2:0. The team showed great fighting spirit throughout the game and deservedly got the first victory in the training camp - 2:0.
